The new story trailer for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster reveals more about its Skaven assassin, alongside fresh glimpses of the upcoming stealth platformer's gameplay.
A new story trailer for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster, an upcoming stealth platformer, has just been released.
New story details confirm that players will control Vihneek, a Skaven prisoner freed by Skiteek. As a member of Clan Skrell, Vihneek must complete deadly contracts and climb the ranks to become a powerful assassin.
The trailer features the game's gloomy, cel-shaded graphics, with acidic-green tones, along with brief glimpses of its stealth gameplay and bloody assassinations. Players will need to navigate shifting tunnels and hostile clans, each presenting different rules, threats and enemy behaviours. Players can also set traps and gather Warpstones to unlock tools and abilities that help them avoid detection or carry out assassinations.

IGN's early hands-on preview was positive, praising the game's visual presentation and combination of stealth mechanics and platforming. The preview also highlighted how unlocking new abilities helps keep exploration and encounters fresh.
Developed by Old Skull Games and published by Dotemu, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster is scheduled to launch in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
